About Us

Michael Brand – Composer

My first musical, “Zuleika”, written with Reggie Oliver, ran at Oxford Playhouse for a week to full houses. They loved it. I was hooked.

In the last few years, Jane and I have written and produced four shows. There will be more: too late to stop now!

These musicals are now on different journeys.

CLD – The Real Lewis Carroll, received terrific critical and audience acclaim during a run at Oxford. An album with a folk band backing is the next step.

Guilty of Love,” tells the story of Alan Turing. This is currently being developed by an independent producer. I have orchestrated eight songs with tracks behind vocals from a live performance by our excellent cast.

We first started writing “Wallis – The Story of Wallis Simpson over 20 years ago but we could not find the right structure to tell the story. But after we rewrote it from Wallis’ point of view it developed a shape that works. The first step is a Concert Performance.

Jane Bramwell – Book and Lyrics

Jane BramwellI have always written plays and poems, and in my teenage years I won two national poetry prizes.

I find it easier to write shows about real people because their own words trigger the lyrics. “Venus in Daytime” in “Guilty of Love comes directly from Turing’s letters.

“A boy misses a girl tonight” is exactly what Edward wrote about Wallis Simpson.
